The
history of DeWit.
On april 1st of 1898 William de Wit started his local blacksmith
company. Reparing kettels, and small metalworks. After a few years
he builded his first forging mashines and the real job was started.
His both sons Derrick and Martinus joined him in the 1930's. In
those days they became a domestic supplier of Garden tools and
agricultural tools. In the 60's Derrick his two sons William and
Claus took over the company. They added the manufactering of road
construction and landscape tools what still is the biggest part of
our company. In the 90's William his two sons Derrick and Sietse
joined the company. As every generation they added also something to
the company, they where focussed on export. In the nearby future
Claus his son Derrick- Claus will run the company together with his
two newes Derrick and Sietse wich will make the four
generations complete. |
